Off-shore Development CADD to open centre in Malaysia Our Bureau
CHENNAI, Oct. 3 THE Chennai-based CADD Centre is to commence its operations in Malaysia with a plan to set up a network of six to 10 centres in a year. As a first step, the Rs 27-crore CAD/CAE ((computer aided design/computer-aided engineering) training and services company, CADD will sign an agreement on Friday with Yayasan Perak (Perak Foundation) in the city in the presence of the Chief Minister of the State of Perak. Perak Foundation would assist CADD to set up centres in the State of Perak, Mr R. Parthasarathy, Executive Director, CADD Centre, told reporters here today. CADD would invest $0.5 to $1 million in stages over the next two years, he added. The company was open to setting up a subsidiary in Malaysia. From Malaysia, the company plans to expand into China and Australia, and also target the entire ASEAN region. The company would concentrate on the mid and advanced level courses.
