Cars Hyundai June sales up13.4% Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, July 2 HYUNDAI Motor India Ltd has announced sales of 9,157 units for June 2002. This represents a 13.4 per cent increase over May 2002 sales of 8,078 units and a 8.08 per cent increase over June 2001 sales of 8,472 units. Meanwhile, the company is expecting exports to account for a larger percentage of total sales. It has registered an 86 per cent increase in exports over May 2002 to 589 units in June. Exports currently account for 6.43 per cent of total sales for Hyundai, up from 3.92 per cent in May 2002.
Honda Siel
Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCL) has registered a growth of 52.45 per cent in sales volume during June 2002. The company sold 1,087 units from its City and Accord range during the month, up from 713 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The company's sales have increased by 33.70 per cent as compared with sales achieved during the previous month (813 units). As on June 30, 2002 HSCL has achieved cumulative sales of 2,688 units for the period April-June 2002. This is an increase of 31.76 per cent, from 2,040 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
