Performance Leyland's sales up 17 pc in April-May Our Bureau
CHENNAI, June 12 Ashok Leyland Ltd has sold 17 per cent more number of vehicles in the months of April and May, compared to those months of last year. The company sold 4,696 vehicles in the two months of the current year, as against 3,980 vehicles in the same period last year. Export sales increased to 280 vehicles, from 92 vehicles previously. In the domestic market, the company sold 1,233 passenger vehicles (1,458 in April-May last year), 3,996 (2,843) goods vehicles and 54 (16) LCVs. It exported 138 (50) passenger vehicles and 108 (38) goods vehicles.
