Rubber Rubber loads held up at Walayar Our Correspondent
KOTTAYAM, Feb. 21 DULL trading continued in rubber on Thursday. Tyre companies did not enter the market as they were yet to receive consignments sent from Kerala a week ago. Some consignments to the tyre companies have been detained at the Walayar check-post as they dio not have delivery note books. The note books could be used till February 15 only. Additional books are not available as the State Government employees are on strike. The State Government has now made alternative arrangements for clearance of the loads at the check posts. Until fresh delivery note books are available, copy of the chalan paying the purchase tax in the bank, copy of the sale bill and N form declaration should accompany the loads for verification and clearance at the check-post. Sheet rubber RSS 4 declined to Rs 29.25 per kg from Rs 29.50 on Wednesday, and RSS 5 to Rs 27.75 from Rs 28.00. Block rubber ISNR 20 stayed flat at Rs 27.50 as also ungraded rubber at Rs 26.00. Latex concentrate remained at Rs 28.00 per kg, but the undertone was weak.
