Bajaj Auto's exports cross 1 million

Bajaj Auto Ltd announced today that exports of its vehicles during the current year have crossed one million units. The company's international business has clocked a growth of 35 per cent in volume terms so far.

It expects to close the year with exports of 1.2 million units and revenue of $1 billion. In the last five years, BAL's export of motorcycles is up six-fold, while that of commercial vehicles is up three times. Bajaj Auto is present in over 36 countries in emerging markets such as African, Asian and Latin American regions.

While Africa accounts for almost 50 per cent of its exports, Asia and Latin America for 34 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. The company said that its performance is ahead of the market growth in most of its markets.
