Medfort Hospitals, a healthcare services provider, has announced a joint venture with Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, UAE, for setting up a centre for excellence for eye care.

The joint venture was announced on Monday at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Mr Gaurav Malhotra, CEO, Medfort Hospitals, in a statement said, “Lifestyle diseases and disorders are becoming rampant in the Gulf region, both with the local and expatriate population. This is Medfort's first international venture in association with LVPEI (L.V. Prasad Eye Institute).

“We are delighted to collaborate with RAK Hospital and Medfort in the development of world-class eye-care services. This would encompass services to tackle all eye care problems,” Dr G.N. Rao, Chairman, LVPEI, said.

“We are happy to have this partnership between RAK Hospital and Medfort Hospitals as we focus on enhancing the healthcare provision capabilities of the Emirate,” Mr Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said.
