V-Guard unveils hi-tech pedestal fans

V-Guard Industries Ltd has launched hi-tech pedestal fans range with mosquito repellent and ‘Negative Ion' feature in the market.

The first sale of the ‘Star Gale Deluxe' model with advanced features such as temperature sensor and oval oscillation was done by V-Guard Joint Managing Director Dr George Sleeba. Mr Mithun K. Chitilappilly, Executive Director, V-Guard, introduced the first ‘Vee Magik Deluxe' model with mosquito repellent and Negative Ion feature fan.

The company has also launched ‘Wilma STS' and ‘Chrommax Deluxe Pedestal Fans' with timer and chromium finish in the market.

The ‘Vee Magik Deluxe' model with mosquito repellent and Negative Ion feature is the first-of-its-kind in India. Complete with three wind modes and remote control, the Negative Ions in this fan act as air purifiers, this hi-tech model fan cost Rs 4,500. V-Guard Pedestal Fans with Natural, Sleeping and Normal Wind features are available at all V-Guard dealers.

The Star Gale Deluxe model is priced at Rs 4,900 and available in royal red colour, this model comes with four wind modes including Natural, Ordinary, Sleeping and Aptitude, a remote control and an eight-hour timer. Equipped with a ‘wind control sensor', these fans are capable of adjusting the wind speed according to the room temperature automatically.

According to Mr Chitilappilly, the pilot production of fans has commenced at the new V-Guard Manufacturing Plant at Kala Amp in Himachal Pradesh, and the company is expecting 60 per cent utilisation of the total production capacity by the end of this year.

The company will be able to achieve a turnover of Rs 100 crore from the fan segment alone in the next financial year, he added.
