New Business McNally Bharat arm bags Rs 34.9-cr order from Orissa Mining Our Bureau Kolkata, Jan. 8 Humboldt Wedag Minerals India (HWMI), a subsidiary of McNally Bharat Engineering (MBE), has bagged a Rs 34.9-crore order from the Orissa Mining Corporation. In a release here on Friday, MBE said in the quarter to December 31, the subsidiary has bagged orders worth Rs 50 crore. The Orissa Mining Corporation order involves installation of a new chrome ore beneficiation plant at South Chaliapin in Orissa on turnkey basis with AWK Germany as their technical associates. Sub-graded ore, currently discarded, will be used through beneficiation. The targeted project completion period is 16 months. The other order from Anorak Aluminium Ltd is for engineering, manufacture and supply of disaster vertical pressure filters and disc filters in association with Gaudery, France, for the former's 1.5 million tonne per annum alumina refinery project in Vishakhapatnam. The project value amounts to Rs 11.1 crore. Apart from the above, Humboldt Wedag Minerals India has also bagged orders from IISCO, Burnout, and Bhutan Power & Steel Ltd. According to Mr Srinivash Singh, Managing Director, MBE, “These important projects have been secured post-acquisition of KHD Humboldt Wedag.” MBE's own order book position stood at Rs 3,200 crore, he said.
