TCS $30-m deal with US airlines

Mumbai, Aug. 27

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has inked a multi-year contract to provide IT, business process outsourcing and infrastructure services to the US-based Hawaiian Airlines. Though financial details of the transaction were not provided, sources in the knowhow said that the deal is valued at more than $30 million. As per the pact, TCS will deliver end-to-end application maintenance and support services to Hawaiian Airlines’ core revenue accounting application, an automated passenger revenue accounting system. The system will provide Hawaiian Airlines systematised transactions providing information on sales, refunds, exchanges and other miscellaneous data for accounting processes. It will also facilitate recordings of air traffic liability amounts, said a news release. The TCS scrip was up by 0.91 per cent to close at Rs 1,025.65 on the BSE today. —
