New Director for CAZRI, Jodhpur

Dr K. Pandu Ranga Vittal has been appointed as the new Director of the Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur, a national institute under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Rajasthan.

Dr Vittal, who is at present the Project Co-ordinator (Research), Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) here, is expected to take over by the end of the week. Dr Vittal has published more than 240 research papers in scientific journals and has contributed immensely to watershed programme and improving the technologies and lot of people in dryland areas, according to a press release from CRIDA.
