BV Bio, Yamit in marketing tie-up

BV Biologicals, a division of Venkateshwara Hatcheries Private Ltd Group, player in advanced biological, nutritional and management of the livestock industry, has signed a co-development and marketing agreement with Yamit Biotechnologies for its first anti-mastitis biological "Y-Complex" product. According to Mr O.P. Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Venkateshwara Hatcheries, the current agreement would lead to additional collaboration using the "Y Complex" platform technology to other areas of veterinary and human diseases that could benefit from the technology to develop non-antibiotic therapeutic products. He noted that currently antibiotic is the accepted therapeutic solutions for Bovine Mastitis; however antibiotic residue in milk is a great cause of concern. Today the total loss due to Bovine Mastitis in the country was estimated to be more than Rs 6,000 crore, he added.
