Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala to branch out

The Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala, which provides holistic ayurvedic treatment and medicines, is all set to foray into the Gulf countries in association with the Mumbai-based Mastermind Group and the Bahrain-based East West Group.

The treatment centres to be opened abroad will avail themselves of the service of 50 doctors and 150 therapists, all of whom will be trained at Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala, a press release issued here said. The treatment centres are also expected to use the time-tested ayurvedic medicines made from here.

Dr E.T. Neelakandhan Mooss, Partner, Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala, will inaugurate the first phase of the project in Bahrain on December 8. The East West Group CEO, Mr Sethumadhavan, said that his group would invest Rs 50 crore for providing the basic facilities for the project.

"The project will be completed in 2007 and Vaidyaratnam is planning to export medicines worth Rs 30 lakh to Gulf as part of the project," said Mr K. Sreekumar, Marketing Manager, Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala.
