Apollo cancer facility in Madurai

Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd will be setting up a $5-million cancer care facility in Madurai in a tie-up with California-based Comprehensive Blood Cancer Care Institute (CBCC), USA. MsPreetha Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospital, announced this while speaking at the special plenary session at the SPEED 2006 exhibition-cum-conference organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry in association with the Government of Tamil Nadu, here on Sunday.

Speaking to opresspersons later, she said cardiac and cancer will be the focus areas of pursuit of Apollo Hospitals and the project will come up in the next six months with Apollo Hospitals providing the basic infrastructure facilities and staff.
