Chennai , Nov. 29 The Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce is organising a daylong workshop on `Marketing and communication strategies for successful operations in the Australian market' on December 5, according to a press release. Three international consultants with experience in advising companies on strategic marketing and corporate communication will address the sessions, said the release. The seminar gains significance in the backdrop of growing Australian presence in India. In the last one year, over 17 Australian companies have set up BPO operations in India, either on their own or in collaboration with Indian companies, it said. These include: ANZ, Repcol, Axa Sales Force, Total Super and Value Chain. Four Australian governments Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia have set up trade offices here. Similarly, over 30 Indian companies have set up operations in Australia in the last one year. They include Tata Steel, Taj Hotels, TCS and Gujarat NRE Coke. An Australian Consulate is to be opened in Chennai shortly, the release said. "The Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce is now looking at appropriate market strategies to sustain this momentum in bilateral relations," it said.
