Channels and Franchises Sula Vineyards expands sales network Our Bureau
New Delhi , Nov. 26 Sula Vineyards has expanded the distribution network for its wines to Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. The company has introduced an assortment of 10 red and white wines in these nascent markets. The neighbouring regions of Delhi and Chandigarh achieved sales of around 12,000 cases in 2005-06, and in view of this, the company has high expectations from these new additions, according to "W The region has a partiality for red wine and there is a growing health consciousness among people who are now opting for wine instead of hard drinks," Mr Rajeev Samant, Founder and Managing Director, Sula Vineyards, said. Sula has three wineries in Nashik with a total wine capacity of 1.75 million litres which will rise to two million litres with the recent acquisition of Pimpane. The wine industry has been growing at a rate of 30 per cent over the past three years, and is expected to maintain growth of about 25 per cent for the next few years.
