The Hindu Business Line : Triveni tests 54-MW gas turbine

Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd said it has successfully conducted speed test on 54-MW gas turbine load gearbox. The tests were conducted at the company's facility in Mysore, it said in a release. "The development of 54-MW gas turbine is a market driven requirement to provide cost-effective solutions with international technology coupled with local service and trouble shooting expertise," the company's Corporate Vice-President, Mr Tarun Sawhney, said. The equipment would serve as a replacement to European gearbox, the release said.
