Ilantus Tech targets managed, hosted identity services

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , Nov. 24

Ilantus Technologies, an identity access management (IAM) solutions provider for enterprises, has firmed up plans to set up a dedicated centre that provides both hosted and managed services for enterprises globally.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Ilantus, Mr Binod Singh, said that the company is moving on to the next phase of growth and launching a Competency Centre in Gurgaon to provide remote hosted and managed services for enterprises in the banking and financial services, telecom, and eGovernance.

Mr Singh told Business Line that this would mean expanding the company's manpower from 150 to 400. Though this is not a number-driven company, the accent is on the creation of intellectual property and products.

Ten products

The company has over 10 products in the identity management area, and can be counted among a select few product companies out of India with operations in the US, Europe, West Asia, Sydney and Singapore.

The global Identity Access Management (IAM) market is poised to grow from $4.8 billion to $10.7 billion by 2007 and this has a big role in the technology industry apart from financial services and eGovernance, where companies require different levels of identity management solutions and services.

Providing insight into the IAM market, Mr Singh said that it is extremely fragmented with a few companies exclusively focussed. However, many of the large service providers, too, offer this as a service. Therefore, our services compliment the role played by larger enterprises such as Microsoft, IBM, BMC, Oracle, among others.

Ilantus has partnered with Microsoft to offer solutions to small and medium enterprise segment.

In September this year, Intel Capital infused fresh round of funding into the company. Ilantus is working with the National Informatics Centre on ways to ensure superior IAM solutions in eGovernance projects, he said.
