Product to check signal interference

Adith Charlie

Mumbai , Nov. 21

Experiencing too many dropped calls due to signal interference is a common customer complaint received by mobile service providers throughout the world. And this has prompted many companies to delve deeper into new technologies that could counter signal interference.

The US-based wireless technology company, TensorComm, which is in the forefront in interference technology research, is likely to come out with a new solution to tackle the problem of signal interferences in CDMA and 3G networks. "We are trying out the new ICT (Interference Cancellation Technology) product with seven to eight leading mobile operators across Europe, America and Asia. We will hit the market with the new product in 12 to 18 months," Mr John Thomas, CEO of the company, told Business Line. Though Mr. Thomas was not willing to comment on the pricing strategy, he remarked that the price of the product would not be more than a `cup of coffee'.
