To support recruitment business with wider database

Bangalore , Nov. 20

The Delhi-based RPO (recruitment processing outsourcing) firm, Elixir Web Solutions plans to invest about Rs 60 crore in the next three years in a research unit for the recruitment business.

The research unit to come up in Dehra Dun in the next fiscal will employ close to 400 people, according to Ms Suchita Dutta, Manager, Business Intelligence and Communications, Elixir Web Solutions.

Funding for the project would come from the partners at the company and an angel investor, Ms Dutta said.

The research back office, when operational, will support Elixir's recruitment division with a more comprehensive database of talent and better matching of talent.

It would also help recruiters speed up the recruitment process by 100 per cent, said Ms Dutta. The research unit would be a knowledge-processing hub for recruiters sitting in the consulting office. Every recruiter would have two researchers associated with any client or any kind of positions.

The process would work this way: The recruiter after being briefed by the client about his mandate would seek the help of the researcher sitting in the knowledge management unit.

There would be a database already prepared (for all the levels and all the sectors). The researcher would match the candidate's profile with the requirement from the client and give it to the recruiter, which would be sent to the client and then the recruitment procedures would take place.
