Mr Syed Shahabuddin will serve as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SBI Mutual Fund with effect from November 2006.

Mr Shahabuddin has over 35 years of experience in the banking sector. He was a Deputy Managing Director in SBI prior to this post, said a statement.
