TRAI gets response from 10 stakeholders

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has sought comments from stakeholders on the draft orders on tariff for commercial subscribers for broadcasting and cable television services, CAS and non-CAS. The last date for receipt of comment was November 10, a TRAI release said.

Comments have been received from 10 stakeholders, including broadcasters and distributors, MSOs and hotel industry representatives. The hotel industry has asked to be treated like any other cable subscriber when it came to tariffs, while broadcasters have stated that hotels should not any enjoy price regulation.
