Shipping seminar from today

Mangalore, Nov. 16

The Mangalore chapter of Company of Master Mariners of India and the Mangalore unit of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers will conduct a two-day seminar on `Winds of change in shipping', in Mangalore from November 17. A press release said here that the seminar would discuss subjects related to shipping such as infrastructure, ports, shipping markets, marine insurance, claims handling and loss prevention, and international trade and documentation.

The New Mangalore Port Trust Chairman, Mr P. Tamilvanan, will inaugurate the seminar. Capt B.S. Barve, former Nautical Advisor to the Government of India, will deliver the keynote address.
