Sun TV hikes ad rates

Sun TV has increased its advertisement rates by 5-27 per cent to be effective from January 1, 2007, because of an increase in viewership. For instance, the advertising rates for a primetime soap like Kolangal has increased by 12.5 per cent to Rs 22,500 for 10 seconds from Rs 20,000. The increase in rates has come after a gap of two years.
