Convention on logistics management

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Nov. 10

The Sixth National Convention of the Asian Council of Logistics Management, a local registered body of professionals aiming to improve logistics management skill, will be held here on January 5 and 6, 2007.

The theme is: Cost Effectiveness Through Supply Chain Knowledge.

A number of delegates from all over the country including some from the neighbouring countries will attend the two-day convention. The theme has been so chosen because, according to ACLM sources, the industrial sector these days, in its strive to achieve cost control, would like to focus on the use of effective logistics and supply-chain management in right-sizing the costs of products and services, thereby offering better value for money to customers.
