The US-based General Dynamics, that provides Defence-related information and communication systems, combat vehicles, weapon systems and special-mission aircraft on Wednesday announced that it has made a formal application to the Reserve Bank of India to open a liaison office here.

In a statement, the company has said that the office would provide assistance and information to potential Indian customers as well as facilitate meetings among appropriate company representatives, the Government and potential partners. The aerospace group designs, develops, manufactures and services a comprehensive fleet of advanced Gulfstream business-jet aircraft.
