Mumbai , Nov. 2 Tata Motors has reported a total sale of 43,540 vehicles for October, logging a growth of 5.6 per cent over sales of 41,219 vehicles in October last year. Cumulative sales for the fiscal registered a 31 per cent growth at 3,09,599 vehicles. The sales figures of commercial vehicles in the domestic market stood at 23,354, marking an increase of 18.6 per cent over October 2005 figures. Medium & heavy commercial vehicle sales booked a 14.4 per cent growth in October. Light commercial vehicle sales registered a growth of 24.3 per cent. Due to fire at its Pimpri car plant in Maharashtra, the passenger vehicle segment reported a dip in domestic net sales by 2.8 per cent to 16,726 vehicles. The company sold 10,998 Indicas and 1,722 Indigos. The Sumo and Safari accounted for sale of 4,006 vehicles. The exports figures suffered a 22 per cent dip to 3,460 vehicles. .
