Yahoo offers Kannada chat plug-in

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Nov. 2

Yahoo! India launched a Kannada chat plug-in on Yahoo! Indichat for its Messenger 8.0. This follows the recent launch of Indichat in Hindi and Tamil. Yahoo! India also offers other plug-ins, which facilitate chat in Indian languages such as Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Malayalam. Also, a user with a language keyboard can chat on Yahoo! Messenger 8.0 in that language. The Kannada chat plug-in has been specially designed and built by the Yahoo! India Research & Development centre in Bangalore for Kannadigas. Users can download Indichat plug-in for Kannada, Hindi and Tamil from http://in.gallery.yahoo.com into their Yahoo! Messenger 8.0 and above.
