Sasken Tech net at over Rs 11 cr

Sasken Communication Technologies has reported a 37 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 11.88 crore and a 29-per cent growth in revenues at Rs 117.55 crore for the quarter ended September 2006 over the previous quarter.

The recently acquired Botnia Hightech Oy contributed Rs 10.2 crore to Sasken revenues for the month of September. The company added 11 new customers to take its overall active customer base to 53.

Sasken added 476 people to increase its employee strength to 3,373 during the quarter. The services revenues crossed Rs 100 crore in a quarter for the first time

"We have sustained our growth momentum in the quarter. Our services business delivered 27 per cent sequential growth including Botnia, and 16 per cent quarter-on-quarter growth on an organic basis. The integration efforts for Botnia are proceeding satisfactorily," said Mr Rajiv Mody, Chairman and CEO, Sasken. Further, the Mexico centre was ramping up steadily and turned profitable during the quarter, he said.
