Hyderabad, Oct. 24

Indian Immunologicals Ltd (IIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Authority (NDDB), has announced that it bagged the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Award for its programme `Operation Pratirodh' at Animal Pharm's inaugural Animal Health Industry Excellence Awards-2006 held in London.

The `Operation Pratirodh' programme of IIL provides scientific information to farmers regarding diseases affecting cattle and prophylactic measures to protect them against the diseases. Through this initiative, the NDDB subsidiary provides vaccination services at the doorstep of farmers at affordable prices.

In a press release here, the Hyderabad-based IIL said the UK-based Animal Pharm conferred the award on it for its "remarkable programme to make cattle vaccination affordable and accessible to rural Indian farmers and for its outstanding contribution and services to the rural farmers."
