The L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) here has been selected as one of the three Global Resource Centres by the World Health Organisation's `Vision 2020: The Right to Sight Programme'. In this role, the LVPEI will be involved in the development and training tertiary care centres, centres of excellence and model eye care delivery centres at secondary and primary eye care levels. It would also train trainers and professionals from all over the world.
