Mumbai , Oct. 17 Employee attrition rate at Tata Consultancy Services for the quarter ended September 30, was maintained at 10.6 per cent, Mr S. Padmanabhan, Global Head of Human Resources, TCS, said. This is inclusive of the attrition rate at its BPO business, which is 18 per cent, that of the IT services business being 10.2 per cent, he said. The company, which had announced it would hire 30,000 people at the start of the current fiscal, has made gross additions of 8,919 people during the quarter currently ended and 15,000 people in the half-year currently ended. Non-Indian employees constituted 8.3 per cent of the total workforce currently at 78, 028. Over 11,250 campus offers have been made for year 2007-2008 already, said Mr Padmanabhan. The company also wants to scale up its Global Development Centres so that each has more than 1,000 people, he said. Its Brazil GDC already has 1,100 persons, and the other GDCs will also have 1,000 each over the next four quarters, he said.
