HSBC `Helping Hands mela'

National cricket player, Mr S. Sreeshanth, inaugurated the `Helping Hands mela 2006', organised at the Kochi branch of HSBC. During the national event, which is scheduled to continue till October 20, HSBC branches across the country will invite local NGOs to come to the branches and exhibit their products and craft designs.

"It gives NGOs and communities an opportunity to sell their products at these prime locations to HSBC customers and to the general public at large. The proceeds of the sale go towards supporting a charitable cause in communities where the NGOs has a presence," a press release from the bank said.
