Mumbai , Oct. 16 Tata Motors launched its range of passenger vehicles in Ghana on Monday. The models introduced include the Indica hatchback, the Indigo sedan, the Indigo Station Wagon, the Sumo and the Safari Dicor. Tata Motors already has a presence in Ghana, having launched its commercial vehicles in 1974. The distribution and marketing will be handled by Tata Ghana & PHC Motors Ltd, which also distributes Tata Motors' commercial vehicles. Sales dealerships have been set up in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale, and service centres have been set up in the same three cities plus Takoradi. There are plans to introduce service centres in 10 more cities by next year. "Ghana has traditionally been an important market for Tata Motors," a press release quoting Mr Divyendu Kumar, head - International Business, Passenger Car Business Unit. "We are confident that the passenger vehicle range will be seen to offer superior value to customers in Ghana." In Africa, Tata Motors markets both passenger and commercial vehicle range. The company has presence in South Africa, Senegal, DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda and Madagascar.
