Hyderabad , Oct. 15

Mr Sello Moloto, Premier of Limpopo Province of South Africa, has sought close collaboration with India in general and Andhra Pradesh in particular in the area of improving skill base of their human resources for meaningful utilisation of the country's natural resources towards improving the quality of life.

Addressing the members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) here on Saturday evening, the Premier said the delegation from his Province currently visiting India was not on a mission to explore and woo investments.

"We are more interested in long-term benefits from bilateral ties with India in the form of improving the skill base of our human resources for effectively exploiting the natural resources of our country. We will work towards obtaining the Indian collaboration in improving our scientific and technological skill sets," Mr Moloto said.

He has urged the Andhra Pradesh Government to send high-level delegation to Limpopo Province.

The Deputy Chairman of Agriculture Technology Mission and Advisor to the State Government, Mr D.A. Somayajulu, highlighted the strengths of the State in agriculture, mining, power, education, pharmaceuticals and science and technology.
