IL&FS Q2 net jumps

Equity fund management company IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd has registered a jump of over 120 per cent in Q2 net profit at Rs 3.72 crore as compared with Rs 1.69 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total income of the company for Q2 ended September 30 has more than doubled to Rs 11.52 crore from Rs 5.48 crore.

For the half-year ended September 30, the net profit of IL&FS Investment stood at Rs 7.27 crore as against Rs 3.01 crore in the same period of 2005-06.

The company, which has investments in sectors such as IT, life science, consumer services, telecom, infrastructure and manufacturing, has reported a total income of Rs 22 crore for the first six months of 2006-07 as against Rs 10.40 crore for the half-year period in the previous year.The stock of IL&FS Investment Managers closed at Rs 178.40 .
