Pune city is set to have a Rs 45 crore-plus super-specialty Woman and Child Hospital and centre of excellence built on the lines of the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, London, Sydney Westmead Children's Hospital, Australia, and Queen Charlotte's Hospital for Women, London.
Mr Tanveer Inamdar, CEO, TAIN Constructions, which is promoting the hospital in the city, said the project will see technical and medical collaboration with Health Systems Ltd, UK, specialist healthcare consultants with experience in the US, UK, Europe and other countries.
"The project will be completed in 42 months from now and, when ready, will be the "last resort" destination for women and children who have been unable to find a solution to their ailments at any other hospital. The hospital will recruit staff globally, he said.
Mr Inamdar said Health Systems has built up a reputation for its understanding of the healthcare industry, with extensive experience of the clinical process and its associated information needs. It also has strong links to leading e-Health developers and suppliers globally, as also the academia.
