Mr Sanjay Budhia, Managing Director of Patton International Ltd, has recently joined the board of Zenith Birla (India) Ltd, a Yash Birla group company. The appointment takes effect from September 28, 2006.

Mr Budhia is also the Chairman of CII's National Committee on Trade Policy and Honorary Consul for the Government of Malaysia in Kolkata. Zenith Birla, a member of the Rs 2,300-crore Yash Birla Group, is engaged in manufacture of steel pipes and tools, has plants in Khopoli, Aurangabad and Nasik, and subsidiaries in Zenith (USA) Inc and Zenith Middle East FZE.

Some of the other major group companies are Birla Power Solutions Ltd, 3M India Ltd, Birla Kennametal, Dagger Forst Tools, Birla Electricals and Sholka Infotech.
