Kochi , Sept. 30

Following opposition to the proposed merger of Lord Krishna Bank (LKB) with the Centurion Bank of Punjab (CBoP) by a group of shareholders, voting was held at the annual general body meeting of the LKB here on Saturday. According to reliable sources, the result of the voting would be announced on October 3. The AGM, with the agenda to approve several matters including the proposed merger, was held amid strong protests by the United Forum of Bank Unions against the proposed merger.
