Cell phone expo in New Delhi

Mobile Asia 2006, a consumer exhibition on mobility, is to be held from October 13-16 in New Delhi, Mr Pankaj Mahindroo, President, Indian Cellular Association (ICA), said.

A press release quoting Mr Mahindroo said the mobile handset industry had grown from Rs 200 crore to over Rs 20,000 crore in the past five years. The ICA is an apex body comprising manufacturers, brand owners, application and service providers, distributors, retailers etc. The event will showcase Evolution of Handsets — an exhibition displaying the saga of cell phones over the decade. The event is expected to draw over 2 lakh visitors.
