Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 24

Canara Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for extending loans to the latter's employees on an all-India basis.

The bank has already disbursed Rs 16 crore so far under the scheme in the State of Kerala, a bank spokesman said here. In this context, the bank has decided to organise a BSNL Loan Festival. Special stalls will be raised in the Circle Office premises at M. G. Road here on Monday and Tuesday to make on-the-spot loan approvals.
