Blood donors' meeting tomorrow

Our Bureau

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 21

Terumo Penpol, a surgicals company, is planning to organise a voluntary blood donor's meeting on Saturday as a prelude to the observance of National Blood Donation Day on October 1. The donor meeting is an opportunity to give thanks to the millions of people who give the precious gift of life, a company spokeswoman said.

A quarterly meeting of regular voluntary blood donors is being planned so that a donors' community gradually develops. The day will help create wider awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation and encourage more people to become regular blood donors.
