Retailing States - Andhra Pradesh Metro Cash and Carry likely to procure AP farm produce Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 19 Metro Cash and Carry India is likely to procure agriculture products directly from the farmers in Andhra Pradesh and sell in places such as Hyderabad. Mr J C Diwakar Reddy, Minister for Panchayat Raj, has said that the company was willing to procure rice, fish, fruits, vegetables and spices directly from the farmers and sell them in cities such as Hyderabad. The farmers needed to register with the company, a Metro press release from Anantapur said here on Tuesday. Mr Diwakar Reddy, accompanied his Cabinet colleague Mr N Raghuveera Reddy (Minister for Agriculture), to open a training programme for sheep farmers in the district. The programme was part of Metro's State-wide initiative to reduce mortality rate among sheep.
