Welspun bags orders worth Rs 700 cr

Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd, the flagship company of the $1-billion Welspun Group, has bagged orders worth Rs 700 crore for supply of line pipes for critical oil and gas applications in the US and Iran. While the order from US is valued at Rs 450 crore, that from Iran is worth Rs 200 crore. Another order for Rs 50 crore was received from within the country. With these orders, Welspun's current order book position stands at about Rs 1,800 crore.

Some of the key pipe supplies by the company in recent past include those for PGN of Indonesia, Stroy Transgas of Algeria, Saudi Aramco and NIGC of Iran. The company also delivered pipes for the deepest pipeline in the world in the Gulf of Mexico.
