Storage Industry & Economy - SSI EMC India logistics office in Chennai Our Bureau
Chennai , Sept. 13 EMC India, an information management and storage systems provider, is setting up a customer support and logistics office in Chennai. EMC India is the wholly owned subsidiary of USA-based EMC Corporation. The Chennai centre will target small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Tamil Nadu. The company recently introduced the "EMC Insignia" line of products catering to the SMB market. These products will address storage, management, protection and sharing of data. The company has a three-stage approach to capture the Tamil Nadu market. "We will first generate awareness about the need for information management and storage solutions. Then we would strengthen the marketing and sales support infrastructure and finally launch a portfolio of solutions," said Mr Manoj Chugh, President - India and SAARC, EMC India. EMC India has tied up with 10 partners to distribute its SMB product offerings in Tamil Nadu, said Mr Chugh. The company will focus on verticals like IT/ITES, auto, telecom, media, manufacturing and banking and financial services.
