Canon opens showroom in Kochi

Considering Kerala as a key market for the Canon products, the company has launched its third exclusive showroom and the 29th consumer care centre in the country here.

Kerala has been chosen for its third exclusive retail zone because more than 30 per cent market share in all the product categories of its business is in the State.

Besides Canon is No. 1 in Kerala in digital cameras with 33 per cent market share, while digital SLR has 65 per cent, digital copiers 31 per cent and printers 30 per cent. It is also emerging as Canon's biggest market in India for printers, an official release here said. Opening the showroom, Mr Alan Grant, President and CEO, Canon India said, "India is surging and Canon is firing and as a result the year 2006 has been truly the year of growth for us."
