Architects from around the world will converge in Hong Kong this month to attend the first edition of MIPIM Asia, the international Asia Pacific property market, which takes place on September 27-29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
MIPIM Asia is a registered trademark of Reed MIDEM, a leading organiser of professional, international tradeshows.
Dynamic business
About 50 architecture companies from 19 countries will be attending the three-day event. "The dynamism of the Asia Pacific real estate business is generating some truly extraordinary projects, which provide exciting opportunities for architects around the world," said Mr Gilles Saint Georges Chaumet, Director of MIPIM Asia.
Prominent cos
Prominent among the architecture companies expected to attend are Atkins China Ltd, which is executing Teda Towers in Tianjin, one of China's tallest structures consisting of 400 apartments, a 400-room hotel, offices and shopping areas, EDAW (Hong Kong), land-based design and planning consultancy with large-scale projects throughout the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and West Asia, Ong & Ong Architects Ltd (Singapore), which is planning to start business in Malaysia, India, the Philippines and in China and Benoy (United Kingdom) — an international firm based in London and Hong Kong.
