ONGC to reach out to NGOs

The ONGC Chairman and Managing Director, Mr R.S. Sharma, said that as an integral part of the Global Compact Movement in India, ONGC would reach out to corporates and NGOs, to undertake activities focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to facilitate sustained growth.

Mr Sharma, who is the President of the Global Compact Society of India, said this during the Second AGM of the Society held here. The Society, in partnership with the United Nation's Global Compact, is fostering corporate citizenship so that the business and industry work for social development, while creating and spreading wealth and prosperity.
