NATURAL FIBRE: A labourer carrying a load of coir ropes at a wholesale market in Kolkata on Thursday. The wholesale prices for coir ropes are ruling between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000 per tonne but in the domestic market they vary with demand.

The eastern and northeastern States import coir products from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
