Faber launches new hobs, chimneys

New Delhi , Aug. 31

Pune-based Faber Heatkraft Industries Ltd (FHIL) launched 15 new models of hobs and kitchen chimneys on Thursday.

The `Collection Series' of chimneys launched comes with features such as low noise, high performance, filter cleaning indicator and automatic sensor control which adjusts the suction capacity according to the smoke and cooking requirements in the kitchen with negligible power consumption.

"We are launching these products to cater to the mid segment and mass market with the distinct objective to redefine and replace the cook top market in India. These hobs have been specially designed to suit Indian cooking requirements," said Mr Prahlad Bhutada, Managing Director, FHIL.

The gas hobs are priced between Rs 6,990 and Rs 19,990, while the chimneys are priced between Rs 30,000 and Rs 80,000.

The current sale of these products in the country is around 2 lakh units per annum, which is expected to touch 10 lakh units by 2010. "
