HCG ties up with Ramaiah hospital

Oncology player HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd and M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital have announced the launch of their new joint venture in cancer care, Gokula-Curie Centre of Oncology.
The centre will be located at the premises of the multi-specialty MSR hospital and managed jointly. It will be operational by March , a release said. HCG will investRs 8 crore in the centre.
It will be the fourth such unit in Bangalore and will offer comprehensive treatments including bone marrow transplantation, paediatric oncology and leukaemia therapy. MSRMH is a 350-bed facility with a provision to expand to 650 beds.
Mr M.R. Jayaram, MSRMH Chairman, said, "This will further strengthen our position as the leading multi-speciality hospital in Bangalore."
Dr Ajai Kumar, Chairman of the Bangalore-based HCG, said the tie up was in line with HCG's plan to establish a nationwide network in oncology care. HCG is a physician-led initiative that owns and in some cases manages cancer centres in Bangalore, Mysore and Shimoga.
